"DZ-143" – the USSR motor grader

The production of motor graders of this model began in 1984 at the “Brianskiy Arsenal” factory. The components used allow them to work in moderate and tropical climatic zones, the permissible temperature range is from -40° C to +40° C. Like most similar equipment, the DZ-143 found work in filling road embankments, leveling sites, and building embankments. It was used to mix soil with additives in road building. They were also used for grading dirt roads and snow removal. DZ-143 is a universal machine, designed for many planning works and it quickly coped with large amounts of soil, and at the same time these graders were very economical. These workers could be met on the roads and building sites of the Lituanian SSR and the already free Lituania. They may still be used now, but due to problems with obtaining spare parts, their number is rapidly decreasing.

The model is intended only for medium-experienced and experienced modelers, but even for them it will be a considerable challenge. There are medium reserves of colors. The textual instructions in English, Polish, Russian and German are quite large, complementing the excellent graphical instructions well, which are really large-scale, informative, clear and easy to read.
