Julius Freundenstein built several types of steam locomotives in his factory in Tempelhof, a suburb of Berlin, between 1891 and 1905. In 1904, a 1000 mm gauge steam locomotive was built for the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg Railways (Grossherzoglich Oldenburgischen Eisenbahn), which received the factory number 174, and was built on a Bn2t chassis, with Allan couplings, 1200 liter water tanks mounted on the sides of the cab, and a 350 kg coal tank near the cab. This steam locomotive developed a speed of 40 km/h, was powered by 185 mm diameter cylinders and a 300 mm piston stroke. Its service weight was 9.4 tons, and the machine was marked with the number 3 on the Oldenburg Railways. On May 11, 1925, the marking of railway vehicles was changed in all German states and the prototype of our model received the number 99021. On September 9, 1942, the RAW Bremen Directorate sent the locomotive to serve on the Eastern Front, and specifically it served on the border line Ochoczewka - Kolpinos. Here the locomotive was completely "exploited" and its fate is unknown.

A small, not very complicated, well-designed and richly detailed model for modelers of any experience. Despite the apparent simplicity, it is not. And, although it is suitable for modelers of little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, it requires attention and care at each stage of gluing. The textual instruction is large and detailed, the graphic one is somewhat small, but perfectly complements the textual one. There is a small reserve of colors.
