The quinquereme was one of the largest and most powerful ships of the Roman navy. The term "quinquereme" describes the nature of its most obvious propulsion system: rowing. A quinquereme is made up of five rowers, who form a rowing unit. This allowed these warships to maneuver in relatively tight spaces and accelerate quickly over short distances. This Roman ship model kit has everything; You need to build a quinquereme model. The kit depicts the quinquereme as it, probably, looked at the height of the naval battle with Carthagena. The ship's main features include oars, arranged in three tiers, a large mainsail, an octagonal steering tower, and the most famous element of Roman Navy: the boarding bridge. This bridge, called a corvus (Greek - "raven"), was one of the greatest inventions of the Romans, who initially had no experience in naval construction. This allowed the Romans to engage Carthaginian ships in close combat during the Punic Wars and effectively combat the more experienced Carthaginian marines, using land combat tactic

A rather complex, well-designed and moderately detailed colorful model of an ancient warship. We recommend assembling it only to medium-experienced and experienced modelers. But, working under the supervision of a more experienced modeler, this model should be mastered by a modeler with little experience. But it will not be easy. The textual instruction in German and English quite large, the graphic ones are also large and both will serve You well in the process of assembling of the model. There are solid stocks of  textures. Sails and some details are printed double side printing.
