The "Saturn V" is the largest human-built flying machine to date. Its height reaches 111 meters, and its mass approaches 3 million kg! This rocket was designed for the US "Apollo" lunar program and is a liquid-fueled, multi-stage, single-use rocket. It was used in 1967-1973 during 13 missions (10 of which were with crews). The task of these rockets was to deliver the "Apollo" spaceship to the lunar orbit. They were characterized by very little emergency, they never exploded either during launch or in flight. During the construction process, it was decided to test an already complete rocket, without testing each stage separately. It was a huge risk, but the bet was the first manned landing on the moon. After the "Apollo" program ended, the "Saturn V" continued to be successfully used in the "Skylab" program.

A sizeable, well-designed and highly detailed model, it's not complicated and would be great for modellers of any experience, but a beginner modeler should be assemble it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and this model shouldn't be one of their first more complex models. The model recreates the appearance of the rocket, used in the "Apollo 11" mission, the first successful manned landing on the Moon.
