"Cristobal Colon" (1896) – the Spanish armored cruiser of the late 19th century, the keel of which was laid in 1895, launched in September 1896, entered service in the Spanish Navy in 1897. The ship's length was 111.73 m, width 18.7 m, the water capacity at full load was about 6,800 tons. The maximum speed was 19.5 knots. At the beginning of his service armament consisted of 10 x 152 mm, 6 x 120 mm, and 10 x 57 mm guns. “Cristobal Colon” was originally built by the Italian Regia Marina. He was a part of the successful “Garibaldi” class of cruisers, which were well-armored, but had a somewhat slower top speed, than was typical for the period. Spain acquired the cruiser "on the shelf" in anticipation of the impending war with the United States. Interestingly, the ship, unlike her Italian sister-ships, did not have a main 254 mm guns. The cruiser was sent to Cuba almost immediately after it was purchased and entered service. In May he participated in the Battle of Santiago de Cuba. Finally, in 1898, July 3 the ship, avoiding capture, was sunk by its crew.

A medium size, but well-designed and richly detailed model of a medium-size ship, which will suit only medium-experienced and experienced modelers. The model has excellent detailing of the hull, deck equipment, superstructures, artillery, other equipment. There is a huge (full sheet) reserve of colors and textures, the flags are printed on thin paper and You can choose one of two printing methods: single-side printing (both sides of the flag are printed on the same side and need to be glued by folding) and double-side. Very beautiful and realistic texture of wooden decks. There are details of the model's keel-block (stand).
