Another model from the cardboard model series, creating a virtual castle world on a regular 1:87 scale, is released in the “Castle” series. The model is created on a 6 m x 6 m real base and is a generalized representation of a medieval castle with all the defensive and city or village attributes surrounding it. Individual elements can be freely combined, and roads and walls smoothly transition into adjacent, compatible details of the overall picture. The same graphical tone is maintained throughout the series, despite the different tones and textures of buildings. The size and number of details of the castle are limited only by the modeler's imagination and the time, needed to implement the idea, and the free space, available for the maquette. From this publication You can make a model of a rural farmer's house with all the yard buildings. The castle in the villages was often surrounded by rural farmers' huts with all kinds of farm buildings - pigsties, woodsheds, barns, dog kennels, etc. When the castle was threatened with an attack, such villages were often burned down so that the enemy would have nowhere to hide, and the farmers with all their belongings and animals hid in the castle, where the animals became living food reserves and thus extended the castle's defense time. How many huts with yards Your castle will needs and where to "place" them, depends only on Your imagination. By the way, this is only the first version of the village courtyard - according to number 1, it can be judged, that there will be more.
The model of a village courtyard is small and simple - well-designed and not overloaded with details, suitable even for complete beginners and modelers with little experience. Even they will not need any supervision from a more experienced colleague, but you will have to work slowly, carefully and attentively. There are no stocks of colors and textures. There is not textual instruction at all, the graphical instruction is small, but informative, detailed and easy to read.
