T-40 - USSR/ Russian/ Lituanian wheeled tractor

T-40 is a brand of wheeled tractors, manufactured in Russia from 1961 to 1995 at the Lipetsk Tractor Plant (LTZ). The tractor is designed for plowing light soils, processing grain crops, clearing snow and transport operations. The tractor is equipped with a four-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled diesel engine D-37 or D-144, manufactured at the Vladimir Tractor Plant. The D-37 engine has a power of 37 h. p., and the D-144 has a power of 50 h.p. The engine is started by an electric starter or a PD8 gasoline starter. The transmission is mechanical. These tractors were widely used in agriculture and industry in the former USSR (including the Lituanian SSR), Russia, other socialist bloc and developing countries. At the initial stage of the restoration of the Republic of Lituania, tractors of this brand were also quite widely used in our country, but they were gradually replaced by more modern and advanced equipment. The following modifications were produced: Tractors with the D-37 engine:
T-40 − basic model with rear linkage;
T-40A − model with full linkage;
T-40AN − model with rear linkage, lower ground clearance and height. Designed for work on slopes;
T-50A − industrial modification for work with a single-bucket loader.
Tractors with the D-144 engine:
Т-40M − rear linkage;
T-40AM − model with full linkage;
T-40ANM − model with full linkage, lower ground clearance, for work on slopes.

A well-designed and richly detailed tractor model of medium complexity with full detailing of the cabin, chassis and engine compartment equipment, perfectly restored transmission, external details. The model is intended for modelers of any experience, but beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not to detail the cabin equipment and to make its windows opaque. The engine cannot be avoided, because it is not hooded, but it can be simplified, as can the detailing of the chassis and transmission. There are spare color reserves, some parts are printed with double-side printing. The graphic instructions are excellent, there are no textual ones.
