The tractor was produced at the Kharkov Locomotive Plant, Ukraine. In 1922 a prototype was purchased in Germany and delivered to the plant for testing. The “Kommuna”r differed from its counterpart in larger dimensions and wider tracks, which were designed to reduce the pressure of the nine-ton machine on the ground. Production was discontinued in 1931. During the entire production period, only 2000-4000 units of the “Kommunar” were produced. An attempt was made to create a tank on its basis, but it was primarily used as an artillery tractor for towing heavy artillery guns. By the end of World War II about 250 more of these machines were in service.
A small, but well-detailed model of a small tractor. Detailed control cabin, all external details, chassis, transmission, engine compartment, suspension, tracks. The model is intended only for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. There is a color reserve, but not too much, some parts are printed double-sided. The textual instruction in English, Polish, Russian and German is quite large, complementing the excellent graphical instruction, which is also large, informative, clear and easy to read.
