The Project 498 raid tug "Jani Kapu" has a displacement of 303 tons, a length of 29.3 meters, a width of 8.3 meters and a draft of 3.9 meters. "Jani Kapu" can reach speeds of up to 11.4 knots (about 21.1 km/h). The cruising range at full speed is 1,650 miles (about 3,055 kilometers). The cruising autonomy is up to six days. The crew consists of six people. "Jani Kapu" is armed with two 12.7 mm machine guns and a navigation radar "Donets-2". On November 25, 2018, the tug "Jani Kapu" and  the warships "Berdyansk" and "Nikopol", were involved in an armed clash with the coast guard and the Russian Navy. On that day, at about 7 a.m. Moscow time, these ships, approaching the Kerch Strait and attempting to cross the strait, were blocked by border ships and coast guard cutters, as, in Russia's opinion, the Ukrainian Navy ships violated the rules for passage through the Kerch-Yenikalsky Canal (did not notify them of their passage within the time limit established by Russian rules) and illegally crossed the state border of the Russian Federation. While pushing the Ukrainian ships out of the 12-mile zone, the Russian border patrol ship 'Don" collided (side-on collision with minimal consequences) with the stopped tugboat "Jani Kapu". All three Ukrainian ships were seized by Russian special forces. Ultimately, the "Don" was damaged. According to the press center of the Ukrainian Navy Command, one of the tugboat's two main engines, the hull and guard rails were damaged, and a life raft was lost.

A well-designed and richly detailed model of medium complexity (there is even control cabin equipment) for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. Where necessary, the parts are printed double-sided. There is a considerable reserve of colors. The graphic instructions are large, consist of many 3D classic drawings, perfectly readable and informative. The text instructions are small, in Ukrainian and only general notes. Templates for making parts from other materials, as is becoming customary for this publisher, are placed next to the drawings, which explain the gluing of these parts. Maybe it's more convenient that way... Another plus - the drawings are perfectly numbered according to the order of assembly.
