Sd. Kfz. 234/2 "Puma" – the German heavy armored car

Heavy armored cars Sd. Kfz. 234 (Sonder Kraftfahrzeug) produced in 1943 - 1945. They were equipped with air-cooled diesel engines of the “TATRA 103” type. A total of 510 vehicles were produced. The “Pumas” reached high speeds on the road and were not much inferior to tracked combat vehicles off-road. These vehicles were produced in four different versions. Sd. Kfz. 234/1 (200 units produced) was armed with a 20 mm cannon and two MG – 42 machine guns. Version Sd. Kfz. 234/2 “Puma” was armed with a 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 cannon, mounted in a fully armored turret. From September 1943 to September 1944, 101 copies of this vehicle were produced. Sd. Kfz. 234/3 was an infantry fighting vehicle, armed with a 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 cannon with a 50 rounds fighting reserve. 88 vehicles were produced. Sd. Kfz. 234/4 armed with a 7.5 cm Pak 40/2 L-46 cannon with a 20 rounds fighting reserve. 89 of them were produced.

This complex, fully detailed model is intended only for medium experience and experienced modelers. Although, without making the interior equipment, simplifying the chassis suspension and working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model can be assembled by even less experienced modelers. But it will not be easy. The publication is completed with laser-cut frame and thickening parts and laser-cut and engraved treads, which are cut from thick paper, painted black in mass of the required thickness. There are no color reserves, the textual instruction are average, quite informative in Polish, the graphic instruction is also average, but informative and sufficient for assembling a good model.
