The history of the aircraft goes back to 1938, when the idea of a fighter, jet powered by twin jet engines, was born in Germany. Engine design evolved so much, that in 1941, the first prototype of a new airplane took to the air, but still with piston engines. Once the engines were completed, they were installed in the aircraft and test flights continued. True, at first a simple propeller engine was also left as a spare. Many changes were made, based on the experience of these test flights. The aircraft received the designation Me-262 and the name "Schwalbe" - "Swallow". Serial production was severely delayed, because A. Hitler personally ordered the conversion of the plane from a fighter to a strike bomber. When it was caught up and the fighter returned to the purpose, for which it was designed, the war was already coming to an end and the few hundred machines produced did not have a significant impact on the course of the war.
The model, despite the fact, that it looks simple, is not. It is richly detailed and suitable for medium and experienced modelers, but "bites" for less experienced modelers, only they are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not to detail the cockpit, make the chassis retracted, the cockpit cover opaque.
